- Oleh, what can you say about current format of the Ukrainian Premier League?
- There’s nothing special about it. Claimants upon Premiership are the same.
- In this situation they speak a lot about young players, who get more and more game practice…
- It’s actually good, but only time will show whether it’s a natural or artificial process. Anyway some positive outcomes of this situation are already noticeable. For example, there are many newcomers in Ukraine national team.
- Don’t you have thoughts about your European horizons?
- I don’t have any plans at the moment. Today I do my best for the native team. Still we’ll see…
- Dynamo also have a lot of youth in the squad today. Are these performers using their chance?
- I think so. The head coach believes in them and that’s really important.
- Have you already got used to calling the coach by patronymic?
- Sure. It’s not a secret that even when we played together we called each other by patronymics.
- Has Rebrov changed since then?
- Sure. Today he has great responsibility. I guess that can change anyone. Still he plays with us at training sessions sometimes, jokes etc.
- They say atmosphere in Dynamo has changed for better. Do you agree?
- Atmosphere in the team always depends upon results we demonstrate. It couldn’t be positive last season as every second game was a failure for us.
- There was a time when you often played as right back and that didn’t please you. Who was the first to use you in such a way?
- It was Leonid Buriak. In 2003 I made my debut for the national team as Ukraine faced Romania. In that game I played as right back.
- Do you rarely play as defender today?
- I wouldn’t say so. We’ve played six games this season. In two of them I featured as defender.
- What’s the record distance you covered in one game?
- As we lost against Manchester United 2:4 I covered more that 14 000 meters.
- Who’s Dynamo top runner today?
- I guess Yarmolenko. Harmash also runs a lot if injuries don’t bother him. Dynamo have always been known for good physical conditions.
