In summer of 2009 Serhyi Rebrov came back to Kyiv from FC Rubin Kazan and was ready to play for some club of Ukrainian Premier League like FC Arsenal Kyiv, for example.
Still there were no offers so the famous striker (123 goals in domestic league) decided to finish his career. He was appointed to the post of Dynamo U-21 coach!
Combining studying with work
Having become Volodymyr Muntian’s assistant coach Rebrov started attending courses for coaches and got the A-Diploma.
It was interesting for Serhyi to work with young players. He tried to learn something new all the time.
Adherent of attacking football
Rebrov started the 2010/2011 season as the Dynamo-2 assistant coach. He enjoyed working with such a skillful specialist as Hennadiy Lytovchenko. Together they helped young performers to make headway.
In December of 2010 Rebrov was invited to the main squad where he worked under the charge of Yuri Semin.
Rebrov doesn’t think that all former strikers, who become coaches, make their teams play attacking football. Still Serhiy is one of those, who prefer this kind of play.
