The first half wasn’t spectacular at all. There was more scrimmage than football on the field. Actually both sides tried to use counterattacks.
Dynamo most active performers were Shepelev, Besedin and Verbic. The latter created the White-Blues best scoring opportunity before the break. He eluded defenders, rushed into Vorskla penalty area and put a lot cross, but Tsyhankov didn’t reach the ball.
First 10 minutes of the second half were great for Dynamo in terms of chances created by the team. Verbic and Pivaric did very well on the right flank. Both could score, but barely missed.
Dynamo were increasing pressure. Shaparenko and Mbokani made substitute appearances. It took Dieumerci three minutes to score. Kedziora put a low cross into the box and Mbokani hit the bottom corner with one-touch shot.
Vorskla had to try to equalize which gave Dynamo more space. Shust saved Vorskla after the shot by Tsyhankov while Shaparenko hit the post.
Eventually both sides settled down and Olexandr Khatskevych’s men gained three points.
