Still Andriy Yarmolenko knows this place. He’s decided to help local orphanage. Its occupants are about 40 children.
On August 27 there was a true feast at this establishment. Kids’ idol FC Dynamo Kyiv and Ukraine national team player paid them a visit. The occasion was really festive – opening ceremony of playground with synthetic turf.
Famous Dynamo player came not empty-handed, but with a present. Andriy brought the shirt he wore featuring in the Europa League. Children also got footballs Andriy signed. In return Yarmolenko got a handmade picture of horseshoe – for luck.
The ceremony was held with the participation of Volodymyr Kucherenko, who’s been supporting this orphanage for 10 years already. After the ribbon was cut kids played football and Andriy followed the game.
Andriy Yarmolenko helps not only orphanages, but also counter-terrorism operation soldiers and wounded warriors… Still Dynamo player doesn’t show off.
- I can’t name this playground a project. I just wanted to do something for kids, - explained Yarmolenko. – I think Ukrainian children must live worthily and have whatever it takes to do sports. Following them I recall my football childhood.
