- I’m really glad to stay in Dynamo! We discussed all issues with Ihor Surkis after which I prolonged the contract. It’s great I’ll feature for Dynamo for three more years! I hope each season we’ll win the domestic league.
- Was the chance to feature in the Champions League the decisive factor that made your prolong your contract?
- Of course everyone dreams of playing in the Champions League. Still the most important factor is my good relationship with Dynamo president Ihor Surkis, who’s like the second father to me. I really respect him and love our team and fans. My heart belongs to Dynamo.
- Your sixth season with Dynamo is almost over. Which year was the best one?
- This one is the best as we’ve won the UPL. Everyone is in really fine fettle. We’ve improved our play.
- You came to Dynamo five and a half years ago when there were a lot of foreigners in the club. Now you are one of the White-Blues old-timers. Has your role in the team changed since then?
- When I came to Dynamo it didn’t take me much time to adapt to the team and I started playing at once. Many performers have left the team since them, but I keep working hard as I always want to take the field wearing Dynamo shirt.
- You’ve spent the biggest amount of time on the field this season. Can you be called irreplaceable?
- I thought that would be Yarmolenko… Actually I missed only the game against Shakhtar. Each player is important. I’m glad to help my teammates and friends on the field. We stand one for all and all for one.
- Your family is in Kyiv almost constantly. Your child was born in Ukraine. How do you feel here?
- My wife really likes Kyiv. My first son was born here and now Bruna is pregnant again. That’s why I tell my teammates that I’m 50% Ukrainian already (smiling).
