12 teams struggled for the title including Manchester United (England), Celtic (Scotland), Valencia (Spain), Heerenveen (the Netherlands) and Dynamo (Ukraine).
At first participants were divided into two groups. Four sides from each group went through to playoffs.
Each match lasted 18 minutes.
In the final the White-Blues defeated Celtic.
