This season Dynamo defeated Oleksandria four times – three wins in domestic league and one more in the national cup quarterfinal. This time they also desperately needed victory in terms of the battle for the second place.
Still the game in Oleksandria had different scenario. Volodymyr Sharan’s men made the White-Blues defend early in the match.
Visitors created the first chance 20 minutes into the game, but the ball went wide after shot by Andriyevskyi.
And in a minute Syrota fouled against Bezborodko, referee awarded penalty for home side and Tretiakov converted from the spot. Syrota, who already had a booking, was substituted with Burda.
Dynamo stole the thunder only late in the first half which resulted in two opportunities for Carlos de Pena. At first he sent the ball over the bar and then defender blocked his low cross.
After the first half Dynamo coach made two substitutions: Tsyhankov replaced Tsytaishvili and Shepelev took the place of Sydorchuk.
Halfway through the second half the White-Blues made two more substitutions: Verbic and Buialskyi – in, de Pena and Rusyn – out.
And that turned out to be beneficial for visitors. 63 minutes into the game Verbic used the mess inside Oleksandria box, obtained the ball and hit the target.
12 minutes later Slovenian winger headed the ball in after Pankiv parried the shot by Karavayev and thus made it 1:2.
Anyway, shortly before the time referee awarded another penalty for home side as Shabanov fouled against Shastal and Tretiakov equalized.
So, it’s 2:2.
