The White-Blues have carried on with their winning league streak, with the game being by no means a piece of cake.
Early opener
Dynamo’s active display in the early minutes did not take long to pay off. After Bangoura failed to net in Husyev’s fright-flank cross, Ghioane struck in a rebound to fire the team into a 9-minute lead. Having taken advantage of Dynamo defense blunders, Kharkiv responded with Fedetskyy and Hunchak’s volleys. In their turn, Shatskih and Bangoura had efforts on goal, but only to send the ball directly into goalkeeper Khudzhamov’s hands.
Opponent’s attacking foray yields no result
When the encounter resumed after the breaks, the action was more enlivened. Kharkiv, threatened to find themselves in the relegation zone, kept going. To start with, Suchkov volleyed from a close range, for his shot to be blocked by Lutsenko. The keeper was then forced to do a lot of work and, luckily, coped with it greatly. First, he prevented Hunchak from scoring and was fortunate to see a rebound deflected off the bar, and demonstrated his skills a few moments later when parrying Fedetskyy’s strike.
Despite the lack of enthralling performance, the mission was that evening was accomplished, with the three points grabbed still keeping Dynamo in contention for the league title.
