The game was held behind closed doors. 5 minutes into the match visitors’ striker Finnbogason opened the score.
Our team managed to equalize four minutes before the break. FC Dynamo Kyiv winger Andriy Yarmolenko hit the target spectacularly from inside the box.
Ukraine #7 was one of the best players on the field and created several scoring chances.
Another Dynamo representative – Serhiy Sydorchuk – played till the 63rd minute after which the White-Blues trainee Roman Zozulia substituted him.
Our team could win, but 85 minutes into the game Yevhen Konoplyanka missed from the penalty spot.
Two other qualifiers in our group also ended in 1:1 draw. Croatia drew against Turkey and Finland – against Kosovo.
