FC Dynamo Kyiv president Ihor Surkis put the 2002/03 Ukrainian league golden medal out for bids. The trophy has found its new owner for 20000 hryvnias.
Ihor Surkis has told MatchDay.ua about his initiative and FC Dynamo Kyiv work for the benefit of Ukrainian army.
- This medal is really significant for me as it was the first one I got as the president of the club. Still when auction arrangers asked me to put this lot out to tender I did that at the drop of the hat. We do what we can for our army, so when we got such an opportunity we used it. I think t will be great if this medal helps at least one person. I know that our players use their bonus payments to buy medicines for wounded people. We’ll keep doing our best for those, who are in need.
