Two days before the performance vocalist and accordionist Ivan Lenio, bass guitarist Volodymyr Sherstiuk, trumpeter Serhiy Soloviy, guitarist Olexandr Demianenko and drummer Serhiy Borysenko came to Valeriy Lobanovskyi monument and agreed to answer some questions.
- What are your expectations of the performance dedicated to Dynamo?
Ivan Lenio: We are really pleased with the fact that bands fans like are among those, who are FC Dynamo Kyiv patriots. We thank supporters for that.
Volodymyr Sherstiuk: For me Dynamo are one of Kyiv symbols. This club is like Khreshchatyk street or Andriyivskyi Uzviz. That’s why it feels like we are going to congratulate our blood relatives.
- What teams did you like when kids?
Ivan Lenio: Personally I come from Ternopil region and I even performed for FC Kolos Monastyrska youth team.
Serhiy Soloviy: For me there’s always been only one team – FC Dynamo Kyiv!
Olexandr Demianenko: I come from Poltava region, so I like FC Vorskla Poltava.
Serhiy Borysenko: I’m from Kirovohrad, so I support FC Zirka Kirovohrad and FC Kolos Oleksandria.
- How often do you attend Dynamo matches at the NSC Olimpiyskyi? Have you been to away euro cups fixtures of the team?
O.D.: We attended the World Cup and some matches of Ukrainian clubs abroad.
S.S.: By the way, in 2011 we took part in the concert dedicated to Warsaw National Stadium opening.
- What would you like to wish Dynamo players and fans?
I.L.: I want to address not only to Dynamo, but to the whole Ukrainian football representatives. It’s terrible that there are still non-patriots in steering football bodies. They don’t know how the team should be represented on international arena.
I also think that the play team demonstrates depends upon players’ intelligence. The more performer knows the more inventive he is. I hope our players and coaches will be like that.
