Ihor SURKIS: “One should treat things as they come in”

- It seems you aren’t satisfied with drawing outcome…

- I think it’s wrong to discuss whether our opponent is toughie or not right now. There are no bad teams in knockout stage. Many of them started this season in the Champions League. We should take any opponent seriously.

- Did you think that Dutch side would be the best opponent for Dynamo when there were only three options left: AZ, Benfica and Valencia?

- I follow Valencia in La Liga, but AZ are a mystery for me. As for Benfica, Portuguese teams are always troublesome rivals for us. Anyway, as I’ve said, we shouldn’t underestimate anyone.

It seems that we didn’t have serious attitude of mind throughout the group stage. That caused us problems after two matchdays and defeat in Genk, which demonstrated our problems. If we want to achieve something in euro cups, we have no right for mistake left. Dynamo squad lets us compete against any opponent. As for Valencia, they are not in perfect conditions at the moment.

We outplayed Spanish side in the UEFA Cup five years ago. That season was quite a success for us. Just like in 2009 we’ll play round of 32 first leg in Kyiv. Maybe it’s for the better: first match of the new year will be attended by many supporters.

Taking into account our performers, we are much-fancied side. Still I can’t say the same about play organization. In 2009 Dynamo used to play keep-ball under Yuri Semin, Oleh Blokhin has different style. He is to use winter break to make players understand his tactical scheme perfectly. Oleh Blokhin wants every performer to do his best on the pitch through 90 minutes. If we start featuring this way, we’ll be able to achieve any aim.

- If Dynamo qualify for the next stage, the White-Blues will face either Lazio or Ludogorets…

- One should treat things as they come in. Let’s discuss that late February…
