Mykhailo Mykhailov: “All guys work gladly as they know football is their life”

- Despite the quarantine we still come to the training complex every day. We’ve been working individually with Denys Boiko and Heorhiy Bushchan for three weeks already, so they’re in pretty good shape. Recently Vladyslav Kucheruk and Ruslan Neshcheret also joined us.

- Did goalkeepers have any special training program when working at home?

- No they had the same program as other players. But when we started working at the training complex things changed. At first it was tough, but in about ten days they got back to normal training rhythm.

- The Premier League plans to finish the season in seven weeks. Will such schedule be a problem for Dynamo?

- Every season we perform in domestic league, national cup and euro cups, so this schedule isn’t a big deal to us.

- Do you agree it’s also vital to maintain psychological balance under these circumstances?

- I guess this situation has made many people reconsider their attitude to what they do. Before the pandemic some players could beat the cover sometimes, but now all guys work gladly as they know football is their life.

- What does your usual day look like during the quarantine?

- My wife, daughter and I try to go outside from time to time, but we pick places that aren’t crowded. We also have a cottage outside the city. I’ve started learning Spanish. It’s really interesting.

- Do you watch movies or read books? Maybe there’s something you can suggest?

- Guys from the team like the series “La casa de papel”, so I’m finishing the first season. As for books, I’ve discovered Spanish writer Arturo Perez-Reverte for myself. I’ve already read seven or eight of his books.
