Mircea Lucescu: “It’s important how players will feel after international games”

- What have your players done well today and what was a failure?

- We opposed really good orderly team. I congratulate my colleague Viktor Skrypnyk, who’s built this team. I wish Zoria all the best in the Europa League.

Zoria play accurately in defensive half and try to find space in the attacking half with long balls.

We created decent chances. In the first half Carlos needed to move a bit further before shooting. In the second half we had 3 vs 2 attack, but Shaparenko attempted himself instead of passing to Karavayev.

Zoria had only one good opportunity. I think Bushchan should have parried that strike instead of trying to catch the ball.

After that Zoria interrupted the game a lot. There was no rhythm.

Unfortunately after the game against Gent we lost Buialskyi and Supriaha. I’m not saying I’m dissatisfied with players who replaced them, but they would have helped us to finish our attacks.

- Will Buialskyi and Supriaha join the national team? When will Tymchyk be back?

- As far as I know, Ukraine national team coach has already said that they’ll stay with the club. It’s very important for them to recover properly. Popov is already back. We need him to recondition as soon as possible.

- What do you think of the Champions League group stage drawing?

- Everybody knows Barcelona and Juventus, there’s nothing to tell. Ferencvarosi have also demonstrated significant progress and covered big distance in euro cups. We all realize this is a totally different level. It’s very important how players will feel after international games. They always need several days to recondition after that.
