- The match was difficult for both sides. I’m glad we’ve come out of the affair with honor. We had only two days for reconditioning after exhausting fixture against ACF Fiorentina and flight. I’m glad our players did their best on the field as they realized that it was a really important game in battle for the title.
- Are you satisfied with Mbokani’s play? Wasn’t it risky to let Kravets, who’s not so intensive, feature in starting lineup?
- Artem fulfilled a great amount of work. I don’t think that Dieumerci is intensive striker. Still when Mbokani is in good conditions he’s a high profile forward and we need him just like others. After he took the field he did whatever was necessary to fulfill our game plan.
- Why was Teodorczyk absent?
- He’s got an injury. He felt pain after the first leg against Fiorentina, but didn’t tell us about that. Unfortunately he has muscle microtear. Anyway I’m glad that we have competing among forwards.
- You told Buialskyi and Harmash to warm up in the first half. Weren’t you satisfied with your midfielders?
- Sometimes it’s good for motivation. When performers see that their teammates start warming up their play can change. When they think that it’s fine to lose possession they can keep doing that.
- After the game against Fiorentina it seemed your team wouldn’t be in best possible conditions in the match against Shakhtar. How did you manage to make players recondition so quickly from the emotional point of view?
- One doesn’t need additional motivation for such matches. Of course our players didn’t manage to recondition completely as they featured against Fiorentina outnumbered. I’m glad that today the whole team defended orderly and almost didn’t let Shakhtar create chances. Donetsk side had them only due to our mistakes.
