Pursuing a sensation Ekonomichna Pravda violates the law by disclosing personal data of over 600 Dynamo employees

Trying to create a “sensation” out of nothing Ekonomichna Pravda journalists have demonstrated total incompetence in issues concerning taxes and foreign income of residents of Ukraine.

That wouldn’t have happened in these journalists asked FC Dynamo Kyiv to make a comment and attempted to gather all the necessary information excluding the personal data. Unfortunately manipulations are more acceptable way for some media.

We would like to state that the wage tax of FC Dynamo Kyiv employees and players is being paid full-scale according to legislation in power which has been confirmed by many planned and unscheduled inspections by state bodies.

We would also like to point out that nowadays legal relationship with football players is more like a combination of labor and private-law relations as far as they regulate issues concerning advertising and publicity rights. In view of such relations FC Dynamo Kyiv players get income from affiliated undertaking Dynamo Kyiv Cyprus which is a legal body registered in accordance with legislation of Cyprus and Ukraine.

The procedure of payroll and taxing management (money obtained from Dynamo Kyiv Cyprus as foreign income) is regulated by article 170.11.1 of the Tax Code of Ukraine according to which the amount of such income is included into yearly taxed income and is displayed in annual tax declaration of income recipient.

Considering Ekonomichna Pravda legal fault, FC Dynamo Kyiv players Denys Boiko, Vitaliy Buialskyi and Serhiy Sydorchuk have asked the club to publish their 2018 tax declarations (2019 declarations haven’t been filed yet) and to contradict the misinformation.

Declaration of Denys Boiko

Declaration of Vitaliy Buialskyi

Declaration of Serhiy Sydorchuk

As you can see, these three player have paid taxes equal to 910'056,99 UAH, 1'434'631,98 UAH and 2'287'655,15 UAH respectively.

Besides, we would like to state that in 2018 FC Dynamo Kyiv and players paid over 84,5 million UAH as taxes including over 52 million as income tax and over 3,3 million as military tax.

Reputable audit companies regularly perform independent audit of financial activities of the club and share results with UAF and UEFA. Moreover, national tax bodies regularly control how the club pays taxes and they’ve never found any violations.

We think that this information contradicts rumors concerning any tax evasions in our club. Journalists should stop chasing ghosts that don’t exist and behave in accordance with international standards of their profession.

We demand from Ekonomichna Pravda to publish the retraction of misinformation and public apologies for disclosure of Dynamo employees’ personal data.

The issue of addressing to law enforcement bodies due to violation of legislation concerning protection of personal data remains open.
