Congratulating you on this milestone anniversary I’d like to emphasize Kyiv side role in our history.
Dynamo first Soviet league title won in 1961 embodied real breakthrough – the hegemony of Moscow teams was over. Further victories strengthened leadership of Ukrainian and Kyiv football. Distinctive character of the club reflected best qualities of our nation – fortitude, invincibility, moral courage, pursuance of search, innovation and independence.
Achievements of players improved international reputation of Ukrainian republic. Dynamo fans have always been true patriots of the Motherland. It was a very important factor in 1990s. This was also proved during the Revolution of Dignity, when Dynamo and fans of the club became forward stronghold defending democracy.
They call FC Dynamo Kyiv official seal of Ukraine. This is one of the national symbols of our state. Significant triumphs of the most popular team, outstanding names and glorious traditions formed football culture which is a strong foundation for creation of latest history.
