Wolfgang Stark: "There was no reason for penalty kick"

German football referee Wolfgang Stark was appointed to preside over the Ukrainian Super Cup game. After the match herr Stark shared his impressions with a correspondent of Dynamo official site.

- Each match is difficult to referee. Nevertheless we could see that both teams were trying to play football in a very fair-play way. That is why it was quite easy for my colleagues and me to referee today's match. Both Dynamo and Shakhtar demonstrated very good game with a minimum of foals and a great number of counterattacks. To my opinion the game was tough but not rude. I hope that the audience really enjoyed it. Comparing Dynamo and Shakhtar with Bundesleague teams I can say that they are at the same level with such teams as FC Schalke.

- There were moments when football players were falling down in the penalty area but the penalty kicks were not awarded. Don't you have any doubts about this decision?

- It was obvious for me that there was no reason for penalty kick. It cannot be even doubted. Moreover footballers made no attempts to dispute with me over my decision. That is why I am sure I was right.
