Dynamo head coach’s post-match press conference, following Dynamo’s 2-1 victory over Vorskla
-We approached the game in an awkward position. Apart from dismissals in the Cup final, it was psychologically difficult for the players after the Kharkiv defeat. On the other hand, I am grateful to my guys for finding strength in a decisive moment, in the closing minutes of the game. It was crucial, in the first line for our fans, to win our this season’s last home encounter.
- To get back to Kharkiv. The first goal against Dynamo was scored by Hladkyy from an offside position. What is your vision of the situation?
- I would like to make a general comment on the ever-growing issue. As soon as a match official commits a mistake when refereeing Dynamo games, his error receives great media coverage. One referee, after awarding a yellow card, received a 3-month ban. The situation makes no sense to me. We do not ever ask anybody to help us. All we need is being objective. After the cup final everybody kept asking me about red cards. In the meantime, nobody said a single word about the first goal. I do think the Shakhtar forward ought to have been adjudged to be in an offside position. Then, Hübschman hand-balled in the box, with no penalty, however, awarded.
- Why did you drop Aliyev from the lineup?
- He had a bad cup final game. In fact, he failed it. Even if had not amassed yellow cards, I would not have allowed him to play tonight.
