Considering the frosty weather, the game started at 17:00, not at 19:55 as it was planned at first.
Besides Ukrainian government partially opened stadiums for fans, so Dynamo arranged ticket sales.
Dynamo coach made only one substitution in the starting lineup comparing with the game against FC Olimpik Donetsk (3:1) – Zabarnyi replaced Karavayev.
The first half was a demonstration of so-called “winter” football. There was a lot of scrimmage and few scoring opportunities. Each side unleashed only two shots with not a single one of them on target.
The game didn’t change a lot after the break. Visitors were mostly in possession, but didn’t create much. Meanwhile Dynamo found their chance. Buialskyi obtained the ball in front of the box, prepared his strike and hit the far corner – 1:0.
Still Brugge equalized in five minutes. Mechele headed the ball in after cross from the corner flag – 1:1.
Having exchanged goals, the teams got back to “winter” football. Neither the home side, not visitors demonstrated active attacking efforts. Dost had a pretty good chance, but sent the ball over the bar with a header.
So, it’s 1:1 which means Dynamo definitely have to score away in a week…
