As part of Matchday 10 of the National U19 League Dynamo Kyiv hosted Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih at their training base in Koncha-Zaspa. Before the match Dynamo had collected 19 points from nine games and sat third in the standings while Kryvbas had 10 points and occupied 11th place.
The hosts started more actively and created the first dangerous chance of the game. Redushko found himself in a good shooting position but missed not only the right corner but also the goal itself – and the offside flag was already raised. Soon after Kryvbas goalkeeper Danladi had to rescue his team a couple of times notably after a powerful effort on target from Osypenko.
Dynamo looked especially threatening from set pieces. Ponomarenko tried his luck with a low free-kick just outside the box but Danladi reacted well to parry the shot. Osypenko then sent another strike just over the bar while long-range efforts from Ozymay and Andreiko were again met by confident saves from the in-form Kryvbas goalkeeper.
At the other end Gonzalez sent a shot just over the bar for the visitors while Saleh’s attempt was blocked by Ivaskiv. Having slightly lulled their opponents, Dynamo immediately struck – Redushko delivered a perfect cross from the left, and Liusin met it with a header from close range to make it 1:0.
The hosts continued pressing forward and could have increased their lead – Ponomarenko fired narrowly wide of the left post while Andreiko’s shot went over the bar.
It was clear that a second goal was only a matter of time. Soon Dynamo turned their overwhelming pressure into another goal: Ponomarenko intercepted a misplaced pass by Kryvbas, advanced to the edge of the box and fired an unstoppable shot to double the advantage – 2:0. Before the break Ivaskiv came close to scoring as well but Danladi managed to tip his shot over the crossbar.
Dynamo maintained total control after the restart. Just a few minutes into the half they made it 3:0 – Redushko broke down the flank and delivered a cross into the box where Andreiko redirected the ball into the net.
The home side continued to dominate and create chances from open play and set pieces alike. Ponomarenko and Redushko remained constant threats while Korobov came close with a header following a free-kick delivery. Eventually Redushko got on the scoresheet himself – he drove forward, cut inside and his shot slightly deflected, deceived the goalkeeper and nestled into the net – 4:0.
Dynamo didn’t stop there. A foul on Zadorozhnyi inside the box resulted in a penalty which the same player confidently converted – 5:0. Shortly after Zadorozhnyi almost added another from a pass by Grodzinskyi but Danladi pulled off another impressive save. Over the course of the game Dynamo registered an incredible 20+ shots on target.
Even in the dying moments the hosts kept pressing. In the 90th minute Danladi parried Redushko’s effort but Zakharchenko was the quickest to react and scored on the rebound – 6:0.
Next up for Dynamo U19 – a tough away fixture against Shakhtar Donetsk on November 1 as part of Matchday 11 of the National U19 League.
