Friendly game. Dynamo – Radomiak – 4:2. Match report

On Friday, July 10, the day after the UEFA Europa League qualification match against Romania’s Universitatea, the White-Blues played a friendly match against Poland’s Radomiak. The players who took part were those who had not appeared on the pitch the previous day at all, as well as those who had come on as substitutes.

The first chance of the game came in the 7th minute, when a Radomiak defender deflected the ball toward his own goal, but the Polish side was rescued by goalkeeper Majchrowicz. A minute later, Ogundana fired dangerously, with the ball whistling over the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Rubchynskyi produced a fine curling shot toward the top corner, but Majchrowicz tipped the ball out for a corner. The best opportunity came in the 25th minute, when Yarmolenko’s shot struck the crossbar, and Buyalskyi’s follow-up effort hit the post.

The opponents, who had created virtually nothing in attack for a long time, converted their very first chance. In the 36th minute, following a cross from a set piece on the right flank, French defender Jérémy Blasco rose highest in the penalty area and headed the ball into the Kyiv side’s net.

However, just two minutes later, the referee awarded a penalty to Dynamo after a foul on Yarmolenko, and the White-Blues’ captain Vitalii Buyalskyi successfully converted the spot kick.

The second half began with active play from Dynamo, and in the 51st minute they made their advantage count once again. Yarmolenko delivered a superb pass to Buyalskyi, who rounded the goalkeeper and calmly slotted the ball into the empty net.

Soon after, Radomiak responded with a dangerous chance, but Grzesik shot straight into Surkis’ hands. In the 55th minute, Dynamo organized another scoring attack: after a pass from Buyalskyi, Rubchynskyi delivered a low cross into the penalty area, where Ogundana redirected the ball into the net with one touch.

After that, Herych first missed the target with a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but a minute later made amends. Buyalskyi, having intercepted the ball after a poor pass by the goalkeeper, added another assist to his tally.

In the closing stages of the match, Radomiak tried to reduce the deficit. In the 77th minute, after a save by Surkis, Markevych was first to the rebound and scored. Until the final whistle, the Polish side continued to attack actively, regularly creating danger from set pieces and earning several corners. Nevertheless, Surkis once again demonstrated his quality, brilliantly saving Bryan’s close-range effort in the 88th minute to preserve Dynamo’s comfortable advantage.

Thus, a convincing 4:2 victory for Dynamo, who continue their preparations for the return leg of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League against Universitatea.
