Dynamo forward Matvii Ponomarenko, who scored twice in the team's victory, shared his thoughts on the match against Austrian champions LASK and spoke about the team's readiness for the start of the European campaign.
– This was the last game of our training camp. We won and will move forward in a good mood. I believe we are 100% ready for the start of the season and for our first Europa League qualifying match. Today, I think the fans saw just how motivated and prepared we are for the qualifiers. We hope to keep it going and continue making our supporters happy.
– Today you faced a European-level opponent, the Austrian champions. How did the game unfold?
– LASK are a very good team, physically strong, with quality players who are capable of creating dangerous chances. But today we played as a team, proved to be the stronger side, and in my opinion deserved the victory.
– There were a lot of spectators at the stadium for a friendly match, including many Ukrainians. What did you think of the support?
– Honestly, it was unexpected because it was only a friendly, yet the stands were packed. It was a pleasure to play in such an atmosphere. It didn't even feel like a friendly match. I'd like to thank everyone who came to support us.
– What can you say about Dynamo's first opponent in the Europa League qualifiers?
– I can't say much yet because we haven't analyzed their game. But we have a whole week ahead of us to prepare for the match. We hope to get the win.
To our fans in Lublin, I'd like to say: come to the stadium and support us. We invite everyone to the match. We'll do our best to reward you with a great performance and a positive result.
