On Wednesday, February 4, Dynamo Kyiv continued their preparations for the resumption of the Ukrainian Premier League and Ukrainian Cup as part of their training camp in Turkey.
The day began with a trip to Mardan Stadium in Antalya where Dynamo U19 played their UEFA Youth League Round of 32 match against Atletico Madrid U19. Players, coaching staff and personnel of the first team followed the game from the stands and actively supported young Dynamo players.
In the evening, “White-and-Blues” held a training session that started with a team briefing and a traditional warm-up. There was also positive squad news as Valentyn Morhun, Oleksandr Tymchyk and Valentyn Rubchynskyi returned to full team training.
At the end of the warm-up players completed an engaging exercise that required them to run around poles and score into small goals. If player failed to score he had to sprint to a cone placed at a set distance.
After the warm-up the main part of the session began. The first drill focused on shooting practice. Ihor Kostiuk selected two captains who took turns picking their teams - Vitalii Buialskii and Eduardo Guerrero. Teams were then tasked with taking shots from various positions and game situations with Buialskyi’s team proving to be the more accurate.
In the next exercise players were divided into three teams. While two teams competed against each other on half of the pitch the third worked on finishing attacks. Victory in this segment went to the team wearing green bibs. All teams finished with the same number of points and wins so goal difference proved to be the decisive factor.
After the session players worked individually on shooting and free kicks together with goalkeepers.
It is worth recalling that on Thursday, February 5, Dynamo will play their fourth friendly match of the winter training camp in Turkey. Their opponents will be Veres Rivne. Kick-off is scheduled for 16:00 Kyiv time.
