On Tuesday, February 14, FC Dynamo Kyiv played another friendly at the training camp in Turkey – against reigning champions of Uzbekistan FC Pakhtakor Tashkent.
By the way, the current head coach of Pakhtakor is Dynamo legend Maksim Shatskikh, who featured for the White-Blues from 1999 till 2009 and scored 142 goals in 328 matches.
Dynamo won a free kick in the second minute of the game. Dubinchak hit the wall, but Yatsyk attempted with a follow-up and hit the crossbar.
Later Yatsyk had another decent chance after he played one-two with Supriaha, but then didn’t manage to shoot on goal.
Meanwhile Pakhtakor turned their first opportunity into goal. In the 35th minute, Khamdanov headed the ball in after cross from the left side – 0:1.
After the break Dynamo mostly maintained possession and tried to apply pressure while Pakhtakor focused on defense.
In the 65th minute the White-Blues changed the lineup completely and Tsarenko could equalize right away, but didn’t outplay the goalkeeper from the box line. Later Benito rushed through the right side and passed to Harmash, but Denys sent the ball over the bar.
Dynamo almost conceded the second one in a stoppage time, but Morhun parried a dangerous strike and then Pakhtakor player missed with a follow-up.
So, Dynamo lose 0:1. Kyivans will play their next friendly on February 17 – against the Latvian side FK Liepaja.
