While getting ready for the Champions League qualifiers, FC Dynamo Kyiv played another friendly. Mircea Lucescu’s men faced the French side Olympique Lyonnais.
On July 12, the teams played two matches at the Stade Pierre Rajon in Bourgoin-Jallieu. The first one started at 19:00 Kyiv time.
Just like previous Dynamo friendlies, this one was of a charity kind. All funds raised will be used to deal with humanitarian issues caused by russian war against Ukraine.
Both sides started the game quite actively and created promising chances. Vanat rushed into the penalty area, but lost possession. Kadewere put a dangerous cross Boiko coped with while Lucas missed the target a bit.
Later Antiukh, Supriaha and Harmash had decent opportunities, but were a bit unlucky. Then Supriaha won a penalty for Dynamo, but Vanat hit the post from the spot. Still Dynamo eventually succeeded.
Harmash found Antiukh, who sent the ball into the net from the box line. Vanat could increase the lead as he eluded goalkeeper and scored, but before that Vladyslav was flagged offside.
A minute before the half-time Supriaha had a great chance, but goalkeeper coped with his shot from 15-meter distance.
Early in the second half French side players were very determined to equalize. Boiko cleared long-range strike after which Kadewere didn’t use two opportunities. In one of the episodes he missed from the six-yard-box line.
Dynamo responded to that with another goal. Supriaha obtained the ball and hit the corner accurately. Vanat could score again right away, but didn’t manage to cope with goalkeeper.
Lyon pulled one back after that. El Arouch made it 1:2 spectacularly from outside the penalty area. Still our team scored another one. Tymchyk found Vikentiy Voloshyn, who hit the target with his left.
So, it’s 3:1 for Dynamo.
